Future-Ready Grants
Deadline to apply is May 1, 2026!
Each year, the Education Foundation Board of Directors awards grants to Virginia Beach schools for innovative and creative programs that benefit students. Each teacher-designed project is aligned with the school division’s strategic framework. Schools are awarded funds through a blind review application process, which means no information pertaining to the school is included.
For the 2025-2026 school year, the Foundation is funding 67 projects with $220,000!
Types of Grants:
- Innovative Learning Classroom Grant
Up to $2,000 - Schoolwide Grant
Applications are available in the Spring for the next school year
Funding between $2,001 and $5,000
Must impact at least 25% of the student population or one grade level of the applicant’s school
At least four educators at the school must be on the project - School + Community Super Grant
Only principals can apply
Funding between $5,001 and $20,000
Every student can access the program
At least one community partner must be included in the program
Educators and staff who work directly with Virginia Beach City Public Schools students can apply.
