We have events going on all year long raising money to support the Virginia Beach Education Foundation. Please join us and help the cause!

TGIF Celebration

Celebrating the innovation of our public school teachers in Virginia Beach!

We awarded $230,000 for 85 projects–the most ever!
Received “the most ever” number of grant applications.

Since 2000, we have given a cumulative total of $2.75 million in Adopt A+ Grants.

Teacher of the Year

Each $350 sponsorship includes:

Invitation for two people (2nd person optional for $25) to the celebration on 2025.
On-site recognition at the event to include

o Logo/name projected on presentation screens

o Option to include items in Teacher of the Year gift bags

o Include a personal message to the Teacher of the Year

Pearls of Wisdom Party

The Education Foundation hosts the Pearls of Wisdom oyster roast and barbecue at the 24th Street Park where attendees can enjoy live music and an all-you-can-eat buffet of oysters, barbecue, fried chicken, hush puppies, and more. The annual fundraiser benefits VBCPS teachers and students by raising funds to support the Education Foundation’s Adopt A+ Grants program. The next Pearls of Wisdom Party is scheduled for April 5, 2025 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at 24th Street Park!

Golf Tournament

The 31st annual golf tournament will be held at Heron Ridge Golf Club on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The event includes lunch and dinner, practice range balls, gift bags, team and player prizes, and snacks and beverages throughout the day.
The tournament raised approximately $50,000 to support the Education Foundation’s Adopt A+ Grants program.
